A special place for a romantic occasion
31 December 2024We went to Crystal Creek for our wedding anniversary and we were blown away by the whole experience! Matt was amazing and went out of his way to make our weekend special. The resort offers all of the little extras (and not so little) that make your weekend super special. The rooms and views were incredible. The food was also lovely and so easy to prepare after it is delivered. Thank you Matt for all that you did for us to make our anniversary one that we will never forget!
All we can say is WOW
31 December 2024Myself and my husband just spent 3 nights here to celebrate our baby/honeymoon and all we can say is WOW. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. We stayed in one of their Glass Terrace Bungalows (Satinash) and it was absolute perfection. The view and sounds of the rainforest, the spa bath, the fireplace were all highlights of the room itself. The Bar & Games Lounge located next to reception is a great spot to relax with an afternoon drink if you feel the need to get out of your room for an hour or two. We also had breakfast and dinner included for everyday as well as a picnic lunch and not only was each and every meal delicious, the servings were incredibly generous. We did a small shop prior to arriving at the retreat and honestly there was no need (apart from the occasional snack here and there).
Considering there are multiple accommodations at the retreat we honestly felt like we were the only two people there. Our only regret is that we didn’t book one of the rooms with a private pool. The creek and swimming holes are an absolutely stunning and natural spot to take a dip however being pregnant made it a little difficult to comfortably get myself down to them and then in and out, so having the pool would have been a great back up option for enjoying a swim. This is a completely personal preference though and nothing wrong with the retreat itself. If you’re looking for a getaway where you can totally unwind, relax and be surrounded by nothing by nature this place is a must. We will definitely be back!

Will stay again
31 December 2024What a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The walking trails are well marked. The creek was crystal clear and lovely to swim in. The Mountain View Lodge we stayed in was private with lovely views and well appointed, meals were generous and of top quality. We also had a massage which finished the stay on a high. Will stay again.
I got engaged!
31 December 2024Second time here in 9 months, first time for my 30th birthday then for new years holidays. New year holidays by far the best one yet, as I got engaged! Can’t wait to return again.
It was really hard to leave
31 October 2024We arrived a 2 day getaway. We were greeted by Matt at reception, he was so welcoming and we felt right at home. Just had to take clothes, everything was provided. The food was so delicious, the cabin was beautiful with plunge pool on the deck looking out to rainforest. So beautiful private and relaxing. It was really hard to leave. Oh don’t forget the fire. The staff are so awesome, friendly and so helpful. Totally recommend and will stay again.

16 May 2024We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here, and we could not have picked a better spot! I am grateful to have experienced such beauty! So much thought has gone into everything, from the structure of the lodge, the quality of bedding, linen, and furnishing. Even the toilet had thoughtful settings and I liked the non-slip pool. The place was very clean! I appreciated that a lot.
We also upgraded to gourmet hampers and so glad we did! Dinner, breakfast, and picnic baskets were all so delicious!
We planned to do hiking, glow worms, games room, bike riding; but we only managed to go bike riding. We just loved our lodge so much we did not want to leave!

23 April 2024Incredible. Speechless. Magnificent from every aspect. Romantic getaway where you can truly leave the world behind. Beautiful cabin, glass and rainforest all around. Amenities galore. Surprise organised dinner with beautiful roses and rose petals in the bed on a love heart. Best place to do your proposing!
Room Tip: Go before darkness. It’s too beautiful to miss.

21 March 2024Thank you for a wonderful stay! We loved the attention to detail almost as much as the view (because who can beat that?)
We came for our 20th wedding anniversary and would have loved to stay longer if the kids and grandparents could have done without us.
We’re already planning our next visit. We did have the romance package, and the food was all amazing. And more than enough (we felt bad about the leftovers, but couldn’t eat anymore).
Visiting the glowworms on our actual anniversary was just magical.
4th time back

Amazing Rainforest Retreat
15 March 2024Just home from staying there for our 38th Wedding Anniversary. Wow! Truly humbling rainforest nature experience. Enough to bring you to tears. Please do yourself and loved ones a favour and go!!! We bought some of the breakfast and dinner hamper packages. Amazing food with big serves. Upgrading the games room soon too apparently. Hope to be back again in the future!!!
A slice of heaven
8 March 2024What an amazing time we had at the Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. The Springbrook Mountain View Lodge was everything the website shows and more. Stunning views of the rainforest, amazing shower and soaking tub and private pool – a slice of heaven. The upgraded dinner options were delicious!
The staff [were] super responsive and helpful with all of our questions about the surrounding activity options.
Zero complaints. We highly recommend staying at the retreat.

Slice of heaven – glow worms, frogs, birdlife
15 February 2024We visited CCRR recently to celebrate a birthday.
We were lucky to stay in Cedar Lodge, which is nestled into a rainforest clearing complete with heated plunge pool, fireplace and views to a misty Mt Springbrook. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and decorated complete with a cloud-like bed.
There were so many thoughtful touches – champagne, chocolates, candles, binoculars, original art, well appointed kitchen and bathroom.
Where else can you lie in bed with binoculars and birdwatch (tiny kingfishers, wrens and Black cockatoos among many others)?
CCRR has struck the perfect balance – you feel as though you are far from the city in the middle of the rainforest yet with all the creature comforts and little luxuries you could want.
If you can tear yourselves away from your accommodation, the entire property and facilities are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Great walking trails, orchard, games room and electric bikes to use.A highlight for us was the short night walk to see the Glow worms and glowing fungi along the creek bank – magic!
Management were lovely, warm and welcoming.
We are already planning our next stay.
If you are after wildlife, rest, comfort, peace and privacy this is your place.
Room Tip: Take proper hiking boots.

2 February 2024This is our 6th time here over 4 years! Every time it has been very special.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here with the love of my life.
