We stayed in the Tamarind Bungalow for 3 nights. The room was lovely – gorgeous rainforest view from the bed, the spa, the lounge, the deck, the kitchen. Felt very private. We did see 1 or 2 couples through the trees, heading down to the creek to the walking tracks, but otherwise felt completely alone, which was ideal. I think this is the only bungalow that you can actually see from the walking tracks (if you crane your neck and squint through the trees a bit), so having the least private bungalow and still feeling very private really says something about the peace and tranquillity of this place.
We had very early starts each day – the rooms do not have blinds or curtains (although they do provide eye masks), so we were up with the sun.
The walks were all so beautiful – more strenuous than we expected, but we needed that after indulging in all the beautiful meals provided. We had 2 delicious dinners, one bbq hamper, and 3 breakfast hampers. Too much food by far. I would suggest 1 bbq hamper would cater to 2 nights if you are not big eaters. The food was all delicious and it was so nice to not have to go out to a restaurant.
So awesome to see that they had a waste bin, a recycling bin and also a compost bin in our room to minimise rubbish.
I would also recommend making use of the bikes at the games room. We took a ride out to the main road along the beautiful country road – such a lovely area.
Highly recommend this place. We will be back to try the mountain view lodge next time.
