Matt and Anie Semark, new general managers at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat
The team at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat are excited to announce the arrival of our new general managers, Matt and Anie Semark.
Matt and Anie have taken the helm to lead the retreat’s very exciting renovation. All the individual villas and lodges, carefully secluded within our private rainforest estate, are being lovingly refurbished by this rather special husband and wife duo.
Matt and Anie are highly experienced managers, from the distinguished portfolios of both Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Leading Hotels of the World.
Each of these past resorts were tailored to the discerning traveller, however the couple have a wonderful knack for blending remote barefoot escapes with unpretentious luxury.
To lead Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat into this exciting new chapter, Matt and Anie join us in the Byron Bay hinterland from managing an exclusive private island in the West Indies of the Caribbean. Prior, they helmed stunning resorts in Bali, in the Zanzibar Islands off the east coast of Tanzania and have hosted for a renowned resort group in eastern Indonesia.
Come and stay soon and let our managers entertain you with their vibrant tales of luxury escapes in these exotic locations. After a relaxing day at our retreat, it’s not a bad way to end the day, sharing stories over a glass (or two) of delicious wine.
Much loved for so many years, by those in-the-know, as the luxury escape to slip away to.
