A proposal I will never forget
3 April 2017

My fiance booked the Byron room for 2 nights as a surprise. When we arrived at dusk, the room was filled with candles and rose petals, and the dinner table was set up with a bottle of Moet on ice. He proposed to me here and it was the most amazing, private setting I could have imagined.

The best thing though is that we then had 2 days and 2 nights to enjoy this beautiful retreat. The villa is completely 100% private with stunning views. The double bath is wonderful, as was the private heated plunge pool.

We had all our meals delivered so we didn’t need to go anywhere and they were each spectacular.

It was a rainy weekend so we only did part of the walks, but what we did we enjoyed – and we’re determined to visit again and finish the walks on a drier day.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Exactly the type of romantic spot to escape everyday life and just enjoy each other’s company and nature. Cannot wait to return soon!

Expectations Exceeded <3
24 March 2017

Our trip to Crystal Creek was beautiful but, unfortunately, ridden with obstacles that day. We had made it through 4 extremely flooded roads, only to be caught at the bottom of Booka Rd, unable to get past a raging, overflowing bridge. We were stuck at the bottom of this road for about 2 hours, and started to feel disheartened as the skies were getting darker, thinking that we may not make it and will miss a day of our booking, but the management team regularly checked up on us via phone calls and assured us that we will be okay and that no matter what, they will get us safely to the retreat as soon as they could. And that they did.

Mark from CCRR came down in a 4WD and rescued us and another couple. My partner & I were already so grateful being rescued, we didn’t expect, but also received an upgrade, which was very sweet, but it wasn’t the upgrade that exceeded our expectations, it was the hospitality and service. You can really tell that the staff (Mark, in particular) were genuinely caring and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and not once did we feel like we could’ve been a bother. This was one of the best service we have encountered.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The set up is amazing; from every single room and amenities in the bungalows, to the recreation room filled with many intimate couple-ly things to do and borrow, to the well marked out walking tracks that led to amazing waterfalls and glowworms. So much thought has been put into this entire place. We felt that not a single detail was missed.

We will definitely be back again one day! :)

We celebrated our five year wedding anniversary here and it did not disappoint. Our lodge was amazing and our time here has been everything your website says it will be. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

This place is amazing
14 March 2017

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and it definitely wasn’t long enough. We stayed in the Cedar lodge which took our breath away, the furnishings were lovely, the pool was awesome and there was heaps of food from the hampers so we never went hungry. The view from the rooms overlooking the rainforest was superb. We definitely will be coming back but maybe for a bit longer.

Just brilliant
26 January 2017

We recently returned from a 4 night stay in one of the Mountain View villas. It exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff made us feel welcome. The accommodation itself was faultless. The villa is cleverly designed down to the minute detail, such as electric blinds and electric skylights, large retractable fly screens, solar heated plunge pool. We had a meal made for us the first night which was a lovely home cooked meal. The rainforest walk on the premises was magical and well signposted. We have stayed at many great places around the world and CCRR ranks right up there. This place really is heaven on earth.

Peace and Quiet...
8 January 2017

This place really does what it says it does. It is a retreat and you get the added bonus of beautiful sub tropical rainforest. We stayed in one of the Rainforest Canopy Bungalows. These are really well appointed, clean, neat and tidy with everything you might need. We self catered and all the essential cutlery glasses and plates were all there. The webber BBQ was great and easy to use. The Recreation room for those who venture beyond the comfort of your accommodation is very well equipped with DVDs and Blu Rays that you can borrow. The walking tracks are well marked and take you through stunning forest although a reasonable level of fitness is required for the longer walks due to the steepness of terrain. Take your time and you will see lots of things. All in all, this is a very good place.

A touch of paradise
31 December 2016

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here and it is a very beautiful and romantic getaway. We stayed in Satinash which was exceptionally well appointed. Very clean and modern and surrounded by glass with a secluded, private outlook into the rainforest. Wake up to a bird symphony. It was very relaxing and a memorable experience.

Thank you for an amazing stay

There could be no better place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Numinbah Lodge at the top of the retreat was outstanding. We loved the pool, the chorus of the cicadas and frogs, the lush rainforest, the birdlife and the privacy. The service by the staff was also outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Our time here has restored us
8 November 2016

We cannot thank you enough for the amazing time spent at the Pandorea Glass Terrace Bungalow. Everything was exactly as we had viewed it on the internet. The meals we received were outstanding, along with the walks, the hammock over the creek and the peacefulness of the surroundings. Our time here has restored us and many thanks to Mark and his amazing staff.

Our wonderful son and daughter-in-law sent us here for our 50th birthdays and we will never forget our time here. We very highly recommend this excellent retreat to anybody that wishes to relax and recuperate.

Perfect romantic getaway
22 October 2016

We stayed in the Tamarind Bungalow for 3 nights. The room was lovely – gorgeous rainforest view from the bed, the spa, the lounge, the deck, the kitchen. Felt very private. We did see 1 or 2 couples through the trees, heading down to the creek to the walking tracks, but otherwise felt completely alone, which was ideal. I think this is the only bungalow that you can actually see from the walking tracks (if you crane your neck and squint through the trees a bit), so having the least private bungalow and still feeling very private really says something about the peace and tranquillity of this place.

We had very early starts each day – the rooms do not have blinds or curtains (although they do provide eye masks), so we were up with the sun.

The walks were all so beautiful – more strenuous than we expected, but we needed that after indulging in all the beautiful meals provided. We had 2 delicious dinners, one bbq hamper, and 3 breakfast hampers. Too much food by far. I would suggest 1 bbq hamper would cater to 2 nights if you are not big eaters. The food was all delicious and it was so nice to not have to go out to a restaurant.

So awesome to see that they had a waste bin, a recycling bin and also a compost bin in our room to minimise rubbish.

I would also recommend making use of the bikes at the games room. We took a ride out to the main road along the beautiful country road – such a lovely area.

Highly recommend this place. We will be back to try the mountain view lodge next time.
