What an amazing time we had at the Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. The Springbrook Mountain View Lodge was everything the website shows and more. Stunning views of the rainforest, amazing shower and soaking tub and private pool – a slice of heaven. The upgraded dinner options were delicious!
The staff [were] super responsive and helpful with all of our questions about the surrounding activity options.

Zero complaints. We highly recommend staying at the retreat.

Slice of heaven – glow worms, frogs, birdlife

We visited CCRR recently to celebrate a birthday.

We were lucky to stay in Cedar Lodge, which is nestled into a rainforest clearing complete with heated plunge pool, fireplace and views to a misty Mt Springbrook. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and decorated complete with a cloud-like bed.

There were so many thoughtful touches – champagne, chocolates, candles, binoculars, original art, well appointed kitchen and bathroom.

Where else can you lie in bed with binoculars and birdwatch (tiny kingfishers, wrens and Black cockatoos among many others)?

CCRR has struck the perfect balance – you feel as though you are far from the city in the middle of the rainforest yet with all the creature comforts and little luxuries you could want.
If you can tear yourselves away from your accommodation, the entire property and facilities are gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Great walking trails, orchard, games room and electric bikes to use.

A highlight for us was the short night walk to see the Glow worms and glowing fungi along the creek bank – magic!

Management were lovely, warm and welcoming. We are already planning our next stay. If you are after wildlife, rest, comfort, peace and privacy this is your place.

Room Tip: Take proper hiking boots.

This is our 6th time here over 4 years! Every time it has been very special. Tomorrow is my birthday and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but here with the love of my life.

Switch off and unwind

A fantastic getaway location where it was possible to just switch off and unwind. Rooms were all larger than expected. We got the make your own meal packages included which was brilliant. The meal portions were huge, easy to make and delicious. We will definitely be back again.

This has to be one of the best if not “the best” places I’ve stayed and so far I’ve only been here one night. On arrival there were candles and rose petals. We optioned dinner and breakfast the food so far has been amazing! The fridge was stocked with extras milk juice butter etc. The owner greets you at the start runs through everything and gives you a buggy ride to your retreat. We then had a fire and watched a movie and had a bath. The bath is to die for the view, the water can be as hot as you want unlike some hotels it only goes luke warm. The fireplace comes stocked with loads of wood we had it running for the afternoon and didn’t even need to use the aircon for bed last night as the whole place was warm and cosy. The bed was so comfortable with amazing sheets, so I slept as well as I do at home (well better). Today we have a massage booked we are also going on a hike and to see the glow worms at night and probably watch another movie. If you need to relax this is the place to come.

Romantic scenic retreat

The most amazing, relaxing, romantic getaway I have ever experienced. Everything has been thought of from food delivery and popped in the fridge to picnics and thru to privacy where you can see nothing but mountains and valleys from your private pool or spa! The staff are very helpful and lovely. The fresh water creek with the ponds and hammocks were beautiful.

This place is very special and has a very strong spiritual atmosphere being so close to the mountains tops and all the wildlife.

Hello to all you beautiful people. Just wanted to say a big thank you for our stay at CCRR. Can’t fault it. Beautiful spot, beautiful cabins, amazing food – fresh, clean & thoughtful staff, including the beautiful lady that provided a massage. I honoured myself for my 50th birthday & have never in my life relaxed so much. It was a life changing experience. You all made my birthday treat so special.

Just a fabulous place to stay

Fabulous location right in the mountain foothills and nestled into the rainforest but the villas themselves are just an architectural delight. Open plan with huge glass walls to take in the view. There are 13 villas but they are all cleverly positioned so that you don’t see (or hear) anyone else. It felt incredibly private. We slept with the blinds up and woke up to beautiful sunrises each morning. Staff are friendly, unobtrusive and happy to provide helpful advice. The walks through the rainforest are tough but well worth it. Also plenty to see and do in the local area.

I don’t think we’ve ever found a more enjoyable more relaxing place to stay. Highly recommended.

Perfect, so luxurious and indulgent

Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy our honeymoon, Mark & the team were lovely and everyone was so respectful of our privacy. The grounds were beautiful & so cared for, the glow worms at night were magic. Our Luxury Mountain View Lodge was perfect, so luxurious and indulgent. Just what we wanted for our special time.

Incredible hideaway retreat

What more can I say than wow.

Absolutely breathtaking location and the facilities here are 10/10. I am so appreciative of all the work that has gone into making this retreat what it is today. We stayed in the Lamington Lodge and everything about our room was incredible. The most luxurious, private escape we could have asked for our honeymoon. We definitely will come back again one day.
