The Mountain View Lodge is absolutely spectacular. We love every bit of it, particularly the pool and the expansive views from the spa bath and the king size bed. It was a very relaxing stay, we will be back in winter. Thanks!
Lily and Andrew (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Great place for a break away, will be returning for sure
We loved our stay at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. We stayed as honeymooners in Satinash, one of the Glass Terrace Bungalows. It was dreamy romantic, tranquil & lush with fresh rainforest air, simply stunning views, especially to wake up to & absolute privacy, the entire stay. We brought with us extra supplies of groceries, as the area has some great produce. In addition to the delicious choice of breakfast hampers awaiting us and the adequate kitchen facilities we had everything we could possibly want & only left the bungalow for the occasional rainforest walk. Big comfy robes, a huge spa with a view and the outdoor shower were highlights. We look forward to visiting again. All of the accomodation options look amazing. Thankyou for the most relaxing week of our lives!
Nerissa Hilton (Satinash, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
A perfect private and secluded retreat. We spent 3 days and came away totally refreshed. Will definitely go back. Our retreat was perfectly presented. The spa has a floor to ceiling vista window overlooking the rainforest just outside the window. There is a central pavillion with hundreds of videos that can be taken back to the villa. A pool table is for use anytime.
A multitude of walks into the rainforest are easily accessed from easy to strenous. Crystal clear swimming holes are also near to ease the aching muscles.

To the most wonderful venue and team we were lucky enough to find for our special day. Words cannot describe how grateful and over the moon Ryan and I have been with our elopement. The attention to detail, kindness, support and beauty of CCRR is something we will forever cherish. Thank you so much.

I’m still here in my Mountain View Lodge and believe me it’s sensational. I wish we had booked 6 days instead of 3. Everything is as promised. I no longer feel 66 years old, maybe 10 years younger ... although the fabulous bathroom’s mirror tells a different story. Suggestions ... Don’t forget your iPod.
My wife and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Secluded luxury. We will be back.
This place is very special. My partner and I go here to reconnect, and to escape everyday life.... It’s nothing short of magical and serene.
The accommodations are simply luxury and really, do not pack much because I doubt you will wear anything other than the robe provided. Take some hiking shoes if you feel up for a walk on one of their hiking tracks. Or simply just lounge by your private pool over looking or looking into the rainforest. All food from breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided. You will order your food before arriving at the retreat via phone. There is also massages available. Pre book these before you arrive that way you won't be disappointed if you can't get a booking at last minute.
This beautiful hideaway will regenerate you, it will refuel your senses and leave you feeling 110% better than when you arrived.
This is PARADISE!!
We enjoyed a two night stay in November 2017 and absolutely LOVED it! The location is absolutely stunning with the backdrop of a beautiful mountain ridge covered in lush bush and the amazing adjoining rain forest. WE stayed in the Byron Lodge and it is amazing! Tastefully and beautifully fitted out, including marble and quality fittings in the ‘bathroom’ (a beautiful space including a large free standing two person spa bath and a shower with two shower heads, one large ceiling mounted water fall effect shower head and the other a detachable wall mounted shower head and there’s plenty of water pressure to enjoy both together), marble and a separate and private Japanese bidet / toilet. There is ample space, high ceilings and amazing views out of the multitude of ceiling to floor windows. The kitchen is well equipped, including a Nespresso pod machine (pods supplied) and a two way log fired located between the living area and bedroom is a nice touch. The lodge has central heading / cooling (floor outlets), loads of charm and charming lighting, candles and multiple tee lights are supplied. It’s simply stunning at nights. The lodge opens out to a huge deck through two very large slide away doors to the front of the lodge and one to the side, which opens to a BBQ. In addition to the BBQ, the deck includes a small two person dining suite, a large corner outdoor lounge and best of all a gorgeous infinity plunge pool (solar heated). The property has multiple walks to enjoy from easy to moderate to intense. We did the rainforest walk of around 50 minutes which was something else! Thoroughly recommend.

Wow! JUST WOW! We booked this trip April this year and have just left a few days ago. My husband and I had wanted to go there since we got married November 2012 and finally this year for our 5 year wedding anniversary we got to... well where to begin?! We did the 5 night honeymoon romantic package at the Luxury Rainforest Lodge... amaaazing. Everything was so beautiful. The views – you are immersed into the rainforest it is breathtaking and so tranquil, the fireplace, the private pool, the dim lights, the spa, the giant shower and King size bed, the heated towels, the candles, having our meals delivered to cook up whenever we liked, the food is wow – seriously amazing, the staff are so genuine and give amazing service. We loved the fire flies, the hammocks, the views all over - you cannot get a bad photo, the games room, wifi... everything is designed to be romantic above and beyond! We also got there via a local Limo service called Pavlos Limos which Crystal Creek recommended... a car hire would've cost over $1000 including fuel, bond, the hire fee, etc. Pavlos did it for $300 return to and from the airport – taking the stress off us and giving us more luxury – after travelling so far that is def what we needed! Highly recommend this place and Pavlos Limos. We definitely will be returning ASAP! Thank you for making our stay so special it was worth the wait. We were sad to go.
Rachael and Jared Andrews (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
Wow just Wow. So tranquil and the meals, the immaculate customer service and Cedar Lodge are luxury. You are the best of the best for a reason. It’s so beautiful here, we love our lodge, the spa, pool, king size bed and the views to die for. We are celebrating five years of marriage with my husband soon to join the army and we have wanted to come to CCRR since we got married. Thank you, thank you, it’s just been perfect. We will definitely return, feeling so relaxed and refreshed.
Rachael and Jared Andrews (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
Thank you Crystal Creek for an amazing honeymoon. It was so private and magical it felt like we were the only ones here. The food was amazing and so much of it. We couldn’t have asked for a more romantic and relaxing honeymoon. We will be back.
Oliver and Chloe Frantz-Dubaich (Booyong, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
We stayed for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon, and booked the honeymoon package in the Cedar Lodge. The package included 3 meals and 3 breakfasts as well as a lunch basket. We ordered an extra gourmet hamper as we were worried about there being enough food, but trust me, there is enough! And it was so convenient being able to heat up whatever time we wished. The room itself was so beautiful, and the view was incredible. Unfortunately we had some pretty bad weather but it meant we could snuggle up in front of the fireplace or with a blanket out on the patio, or utilise the indoor spa. Really beautiful, and would highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.
Tarry D, Coffs Harbour NSW (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
Just left from our second stay here, and it’s just as amazing as the first time. Lovely staff with amazing views! Will be back!
Crystal Creek is a place of relaxation, seclusion and utter most serenity. With only a few days we could stay we wanted to be there forever. The staff assisted in every and any aspect. The room was superb, clean, and comfortable. The food was spectacular, such rich flavours and so much variety, we really enjoyed the peacefulness of being able to cook ourselves when we wanted. The location and activities to do we enjoyed so much. The creek and walks are such beautiful scenery. We will be back again and again!!
We are so happy to be back at CCRR! It’s our first wedding anniversary and we came here last year for our honeymoon. Thank you to all the staff who help make everything so memorable. We will definitely be back again and again.

Thank you so much for an incredible stay. So romantic and the candles, flower and champagne surprise for our engagement was perfection.
The future Mr and Mrs Harvie (Lamington Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
We spent 2 nights to celebrate 20years & couldn't imagine a more perfect place! Stayed in the mountain view lodge which is truly amazing. Everything is luxurious & very romantic, amazing scenery & staff were brilliant! Can't wait to return!
Amazing much needed romantic getaway! Staff were beautiful and very accommodating. Food was delicious, bungalow was stunning 😍 I already can't wait to go back.
The perfect getaway amongst a picturesque rainforest. I would highly recommend Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat.
What a beautiful place. I can't wait to visit again!
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect! The grounds were beautiful and we had more than enough food supplied to last the days and nights we spent there. Being so close to Kingscliff and Byron Bay was also a bonus as we were able to go on a bit of an adventure some days. I highly recommend this place for the scenery, accomodation and serenity of it all. It's stunning. Thank you to the owners for making our honeymoon sensational!!
26 September 2017
Have just returned from a relaxing weekend getaway at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary. The Retreat comprises of about 13 individual cottages tucked away in the rainforest at the end of Upper Crystal Creek Road approx 20kms west of the closest large town of Murwillimbah.
Our cottage was called Booyong & was completely private. We could not see any of the other cottages, all we could see was the rainforest out of the huge glass windows in the lounge, bedroom & bathroom. The cottage was attractively lit up with all the comforts of home. The luxurious bathroom was huge with a large spa bath surrounded by 3 glass walls overlooking the lush rainforest, an open shower & underfloor heating & heated towel rails. At night you could switch on an outside light which highlighted the rainforest. Our king sized bed was located on a mezzanine level & was very comfortable. The lounge room had a huge fireplace stocked with logs but unfortunately we could not use it as the weather was quite warm the weekend we stayed. On the deck there was a BBQ, 2 daybeds & a table & chairs.
We booked the Romance package which included 2 nights accommodation, 2 breakfast & 2 dinners as well as a bottle of wine. We chose our meals & ordered them by email a few days before. When we arrived on the Fri night our dinner & our breakfast the next morning was already in the fridge. The following night's dinner & breakfast for Sunday morning were delivered into our fridge on the Sat afternoon. Our dinners just needed to be heated up in the microwave & we cooked our breakfasts each morning on the spotlessly clean BBQ on the deck.
There is a Games Room centrally located near Reception where you can play a game of pool or table tennis or choose a movie from the hundreds on offer. The property boasts about 4 bush walks & you are kitted out with a walking stick ( a must have if you are walking up to the Lookout) plus a supply of Bushmans to spray on your shoes to deter the leeches. We climbed up to the Lookout which is described as strenuous & they are not joking it really is strenuous but once at the top there are beautiful views out to the coast & a bench seat to sit on as well.
There is also a rock strewn creek with pools big enough to take a dip in with 4 hammocks stretched across the water. A beautiful place to relax, read a book & let your cares drift away.
We were sorry to leave this fantastic location & wished we could have stayed another night. This is not a cheap place to stay but would recommend Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat for that special time away celebrating a special occasion or as a 'getaway' from the business of life. This place will certainly recharge the batteries. Just peace & quiet & time to focus on each other.
Lynette S, Brisbane (Booyong, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
We staying a few weeks ago for 5 nights for our honey, and It was the most relaxed we have ever felt. After the craziness a wedding could bring and also having a child ourselves, it was nice to go to a beautiful place like Crystal Creek to unwind and rejuvenate! We stayed in Satinash and it was so beautiful! Being amongst all that natural beauty was magical! Thankyou for an amazing stay, we will definitely be back again!!

They think of everything there: very nice breakfast if needed, and the lodge itself has all the trimmings you can hope for, including a romantic jacuzzi with great views of the rainforest. It's tucked away a bit from Murwillumbah (a 20/25 minute drive). The walks you can do are at times quite steep, but highly rewarding. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.

We had an amazing romantic getaway at Crystal Creek. The cabins in the rainforest are a slice of paradise. With a woodfire, a spa, kitchen and a swimming pool all overlooking the lush rainforest, what more do you need? Oh yeah food can also be delivered to you in your private cabin. The food was amazing. Love Crystal Creek!

Wow where do I even start, this place was the ultimate relaxation/romantic spot we were on our way home after 6 hectic weeks in Ireland and America and this place didn't disappoint! We stayed three nights in the Byron lodge on the honeymoon package and honestly no pictures do the view justice even from the bath the view is overwhelming! A trip to the glow worms at night is a must we even seen some fireflies! The staff were amazing, welcoming and professional even allowing us to check in early! The food that is supplied is top notch and we struggled to eat it all! We had a picnic in the orchard one of the days and had it all to ourselves! We brought a stock of our own wine and brought some DVDs from their massive library and just spent our nights in front of the fire! Would definitely recommend for a couples get away! We can't wait to come back!

We have friends who travel worldwide quite a bit and describe the best places they have ever seen in terms of the Wow factor. One Wow is great, two Wows fantastic and three Wows, as in Wow, Wow, Wow, truly fantastic. Well hello guys, my wife and I have just discovered our own three Wow spot - and we didn't have to fly halfway across the planet to find it.
The investment by the owners of this retreat pays dividends. We stayed in one of the Mountain View lodges and, given we had done plenty of research into what we might expect, were still staggered by the attention to detail, luxurious appointments, superb ambience, and THAT view.
A wonderful four days with a super log fire to offset the winter chill, room service meals available if required, a BBQ and full cooking facilities for self-caterers, stunning rainforest walks a few steps away, and an amenities room with hundreds of DVDs to take out.
A super spot.
We will be back.

Wow what a place we stayed at the Byron mountain lodge for 3 nights (the honeymoon package) what an absolutely fantastic time. We had just finished a hectic 6 weeks getting married and travelling around the US, so we decided to finish the honeymoon here. It was amazing, from arrival (a short drive from Gold Coast airport) we were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel immediately at home. We checked in early and this was no issue. The lodge was something else it's impossible to describe (just go check it out stop reading this review and book your stay). The food was amazing, and brought to the room, they had a DVD library which was at least 1000 strong so we spent the evenings and days relaxing with some wine, and movies in between enjoying the nature (including the glow worms). You have made an absolute sanctuary and we can't wait to go back.

This is the second time we have stayed at CCRR and we cannot recommend it highly enough! If you want get away for the most relaxing time, this is the place to go!
Mark, Stephan and the team make your stay absolutely amazing! Make sure your order the wonderful meals and just relax. Hiking around the property is a great way to enjoy your day. The lodge's are such that you can spend days here without seeing anyone one else yet you are not without the all of the modern conveniences! Stay and enjoy, we will be back again!
27 July 2017
We had a long weekend at CCRR and loved it, the submerged bath with the rainforest view was superb, provided bath salts as well is something many places miss but they didn't. The use of the small candles around made it cosy and the way the dinners are available to you to heat yourself is genius! We like having wines and eating later which this arrangement allowed us to warm our dinner whenever we wanted, without leaving the bungalow or having to deal with a restaurant. The dinners were great, loved all of them. We also had the picnic which was so well put together and a good choice of healthy options.
We did the long walk to the lookout which was knackered get on the way up (take water!) but the view was good and the exercise got the heart beating.
The team at CCRR are great, helpful, and lovely to deal with.
Would highly recommend. Wish our stay was longer :)
Tip – take a good stock of your own wine and stay in and relax!

This was our second trip to CCRR and it did not disappoint! We absolutely love it here and were so happy to return. We stayed in the Numinbah Lodge again and it was just how we remembered it ... perfect.

Already looking forward to coming back for a third time.

From the moment we drove into the driveway, we felt like we'd escaped into paradise! It's absolutely perfect We had the best weekend of our lives!! Thankyou CCRR for every little detail you put into making our 25th wedding anniversary so special. This place is unbelievably beautiful and the romance is endless! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer (or visit sooner!) but then again, we would never want to leave!! The food was amazing (even though a little too much!), the Cedar Lodge was gorgeous and a real slice of heaven deep in the rainforest. If you want a place to really connect with your partner and truly escape from the world then Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat ticks all the boxes ✅ ❤️

We spent a couple of nights here just relaxing and taking walks in the beautiful forest all around the retreat. It was sheer heaven to spend time in such a gorgeous outdoor environment, and then to unwind in the luxurious lodge. We didn't see or hear any other visitors during our stay, as we ate on our deck, read, ate the delicious meals overlooking rainforest or watched DVDs curled up on the sofa. Total bliss, worth every penny.
25 June 2017
Best accommodation ever. Secluded, private, sexy, spacious, spa, outdoor plunge pool, all set in a rainforest. Walk to the lookout was VERY strenuous (& we've done an ironman and consider ourselves reasonably fit!!). 2 nights is plenty but three would be good!!!

Stayed here for Wedding Anniversary long weekend getaway. My husband booked Lamington Lodge overlooking rainforest mountain. Everything was superb! Accommodation outstanding, spacious, comfortable & beautifully designed. All meals divine, fireplace ready, dinner ready in fridge as organised. Rainforest breathtaking, interior & exterior lighting perfect as well as loads of candles. Totally Private top shelf No Work luxury getaway. Would return & recommend in a heartbeat.

I took my partner to stay in the Byron mountain view lodge as a birthday surprise. Absolutely everything had been thought of and the state of the art accommodation exceeded our expectations. Complete privacy and luxury. Beautifully and cleverly designed with stunning wooden furniture and sleek modern architecture. The breakfast basket was delicious but we took our own food for the rest of our meals as the kitchen and BBQ are excellent quality with everything you need. The fancy automatic electric loo kept making me jump tho ;) stunning views, amazing fire, fantastic spa bath... Would definitely come back.

What can I say ... I don't give 10 out of 10 ever ... this one, is 11! This will become an annual retreat for us and is probably the nicest place we ever stayed. Romantic nature indulgence. Even survived the Lookout walk!
Tim H, Byron Bay
An absolutely stunning place of serenity, privacy, beauty and relaxation. We came here on our honeymoon and had the honeymoon package. We also received an upgrade, to the mountain view lodges and the property were absolutely stunning. The rooms cosy and relaxing with warmth, fireplaces, spa, comfy beds and lounge. The dvd library range, board games, orchard and walking tracks meant a great balance between doing things and sitting back and enjoying the views. The food too is delicious and generous and the staff were friendly.
JKayeee, Adelaide SA
It's one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen, the highlight of our Australian tour. It was amazing to have a delicious dinner near the fireplace with a good bottle of wine in the middle of the rainforest. We enjoyed the Rainforest Walk in the morning and the swimming in the crystal water of the creek.
We highly recommend it to couples, who would like to spend a special, romantic and unforgettable time.
alfred mhoneymoon staying at Crystal Creek. The staff, the scenery and the food were amazing. The lodges are incredible and luxurious. It was the perfect place to escape after the wedding and was so romantic and secluded - just what we wanted.
We stayed 3 nights in the Cedar lodge, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The isolation and privacy was amazing, making us feel like we were the only people in the forest.
The staff were fantastic, with an immediate response to a concern about the pool, whilst also being considerate about not intruding on our privacy.
The lodge was very well equipped, with everything required for a luxurious stay.
We would love to return one day to celebrate another special occasion.

My boyfriend thought he was clever and brought me up here as a surprise. This place is beautiful, loved the walks, glow worms and hammocks over the water. The weekend was topped off when my boyfriend proposed to me whilst surrounded by candles and roses with a beautiful dinner. We will definitely be back.

This place is now my favourite place in Australia! My partner and I got married here on April 22nd!! Could not have gone any better!! Staff were amazing setting everything up, as well as coordinating everyone and everything that we needed, and our Glass Terrace Bungalow Pandorea was just beautiful.
Can't thank you guys enough (Mark and the team) for everything. Will be back sooner than later.

Thank you so much for out unforgettable stay away! Not only did we stay 4 nights in the beautiful Byron retreat but the beautiful surrounds of the rainforest and wildlife was such a treat!
* Star for perfect cleanliness & amazing layout of Byron retreat (I am very fussy when it comes to cleanliness)
* Star for friendly & attentive service
* Star for spectacular Views & the beautiful walking tracks of short & long periods(a must do if you stay here)
* Star for delicious homely food ( I am very fussy when it comes to food, however I seemed to clear my plates everyday!)
* Finally the 5th star for making our stay one we will never ever forget! Everything was done for our comfort & pleasure. It amazing what you did for us and my special proposal was done so perfectly, it was only what happens in fairytales, and your team & my fiancé made that all come true !
We also loved the hike to the rock pools, hammocks & glow worms it's such a dreamy place.
And to top it all off the above and beyond secret service you went through for a special proposal that will always mean so much to us. It was like a true fairytale and we can't thank you enough.

Such a beautiful quiet blissful place. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and the views are to die for. Our honeymoon was perfect.
Callum and Alyssa (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
My fiance booked the Byron room for 2 nights as a surprise. When we arrived at dusk, the room was filled with candles and rose petals, and the dinner table was set up with a bottle of Moet on ice. He proposed to me here and it was the most amazing, private setting I could have imagined.
The best thing though is that we then had 2 days and 2 nights to enjoy this beautiful retreat. The villa is completely 100% private with stunning views. The double bath is wonderful, as was the private heated plunge pool.
We had all our meals delivered so we didn't need to go anywhere and they were each spectacular.
It was a rainy weekend so we only did part of the walks, but what we did we enjoyed – and we're determined to visit again and finish the walks on a drier day.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Exactly the type of romantic spot to escape everyday life and just enjoy each other's company and nature. Cannot wait to return soon!
Elisse1000, Sydney (Byron Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Our trip to Crystal Creek was beautiful but, unfortunately, ridden with obstacles that day. We had made it through 4 extremely flooded roads, only to be caught at the bottom of Booka Rd, unable to get past a raging, overflowing bridge. We were stuck at the bottom of this road for about 2 hours, and started to feel disheartened as the skies were getting darker, thinking that we may not make it and will miss a day of our booking, but the management team regularly checked up on us via phone calls and assured us that we will be okay and that no matter what, they will get us safely to the retreat as soon as they could. And that they did.
Mark from CCRR came down in a 4WD and rescued us and another couple. My partner & I were already so grateful being rescued, we didn't expect, but also received an upgrade, which was very sweet, but it wasn't the upgrade that exceeded our expectations, it was the hospitality and service. You can really tell that the staff (Mark, in particular) were genuinely caring and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and not once did we feel like we could've been a bother. This was one of the best service we have encountered.
Everything exceeded our expectations. The set up is amazing; from every single room and amenities in the bungalows, to the recreation room filled with many intimate couple-ly things to do and borrow, to the well marked out walking tracks that led to amazing waterfalls and glowworms.. So much thought has been put into this entire place. We felt that not a single detail was missed.
We will definitely be back again one day! :)

We recently returned from a 4 night stay in one of the Mountain View villas. It exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff made us feel welcome. The accommodation itself was faultless. The villa is cleverly designed down to the minute detail, such as electric blinds and electric skylights, large retractable fly screens, solar heated plunge pool. We had a meal made for us the first night which was a lovely home cooked meal. The rainforest walk on the premises was magical and well signposted. We have stayed at many great places around the world and CCRR ranks right up there. This place really is heaven on earth.

This place really does what it says it does. It is a retreat and you get the added bonus of beautiful sub tropical rainforest. We stayed in one of the Rainforest Canopy Bungalows. These are really well appointed, clean, neat and tidy with everything you might need. We self catered and all the essential cutlery glasses and plates were all there. The webber BBQ was great and easy to use. The Recreation room for those who venture beyond the comfort of your accommodation is very well equipped with DVDs and Blu Rays that you can borrow. The walking tracks are well marked and take you through stunning forest although a reasonable level of fitness is required for the longer walks due to the steepness of terrain. Take your time and you will see lots of things. All in all, this is a very good place.
