We stayed in a Luxury Lodge for our honeymoon in December, our lodge was amazing and the view was so beautiful! Just waking up in the morning to sit up and see the mountains and rainforest was pure relaxation for us ... Staff are very helpful and lovely, going out of their way to set something special up for me at my husbands request, was an amazing suprise!!!
We had an amazing time. Enjoyed all the walks. Meals were fantastic! Thank you for amazing service and a relaxing honeymoon. We will be recommending to everyone. We will be back for sure.

We were blown away by this amazing place. The Lodge is so luxurious and wonderful and so welcoming. The staff are wonderful and the views beautiful. We really felt like we were valued here, things like the coffee machine, milk etc are all free of charge. We really felt like VIPs here. Cannot wait until we can get back again. Best honeymoon ever!

We would just like to commend you on such a well thought out place. We have stayed all over the world and what you have here is truly amazing. We would also like to add how lovely your staff have been, from booking to reception to cleaning staff. I think you need to list more of the features on your website, there were so many additional features that were a delight and a surprise i.e. the skylight so you can see the stars in bed.
Aleece and Michael (Springbrook Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
We celebrated our 25th anniversary staying in the Cedar Lodge at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat. Everything was perfect! Our private heated plunge pool was the best place to start and end our days – we loved it. The seclusion of this lodge made it feel like we were the only people on the property. It is tucked away off the main entry point of the retreat and surrounded by lush plant life. The view from the deck is breathtaking with Springbrook Mountain framed by palm trees. The birdlife was an added treat and we made good use of the binoculars that were provided. Our nightly log fire created a wonderful warm atmosphere. Meals were great – more than enough food. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us lots of good tips about where to go on our travels through the hinterland. Every day since we got back we've thought about our time there and wished for our own private plunge pool. We can't recommend it highly enough. It is truly worth the expense for such a unique and relaxing experience.

Amazing place, haven't been so relaxed in our lives. A great way to start our marriage.

It's actually taking a lot out of me not to be hysterical when I write this review. I am completely in love with this place. Something about staying here has forever changed the way I look at the world and what I view as real and important. When I was younger I thought life was about dating hardcore gangster party guys who thought going to a club was the greatest thing you could do in life. They had no clue about the world, life or real issues. Then I was BLESSED to meet someone who was completely removed from that ideal and who on his own booked a 2 night (which then turned into a 3 night stay) at Crystal Creek and it blew me away.
This place is amazing. AmaDOIDJFWg. I can't type... AMAZING. I spent a few nights on Hamilton Island earlier this year and although the Great Barrier Reef is nothing to scoff at this by far has smacked me in the head in terms of perfect.
I have been fortunate enough to travel to some of the most amazing places and visit some of the greatest towns, cities and countries all over the world but this by far is and will be the greatest place I have EVER, EVER, EVER visited. Better than New York and better than my trip to the Great Barrier Reef. We are so incredibly lucky and blessed to have seen another part of this great country. You have done so well. I want to write more but words fail me. I feel so sorry for those people who will never see this.
Journee and Michael (Satinash, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
The Glass Terrace Bungalow was spectacular and provided a fantastic base for a few days of rest and relaxation. Received an incredibly warm welcome from one staff member which set the benchmark for service very high which unfortunately wasn't matched by another staff member during the stay who was a little disinterested. There were great options for bush walks and the property is only a short drive from Murwillumbah (including supermarket). Had a few gourmet meals delivered which were generally excellent however if staying again would stock up on more self-catering options in Murwillumbah on the way to the property to eliminate the need to leave during the stay!

I just wanted to pass on a big thank you for fantastic weekend at your retreat. We had an amazing time, and I honestly haven't felt that relaxed in years! The gourmet hampers were a delicious addition and the facilities were top class. The hiking tracks were a great workout, and the hammocks were a real treat! There is certainly a great vibe around the retreat! We really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be returning in the near future. Most of my team at work are sold on CCRR from my continual ramblings of the weekend!

You have a very special place here. Truly beautiful. So relaxing and easy to sit and watch the time pass. Amazing bird life. We will hopefully be back again one day in the future (sooner rather than later).

We had a wonderful experience staying at your resort last weekend. Your incredible location combined with the very thoughtful siting and architecture of your bungalows provides a very private, luxurious and yet still intimate experience of the beautiful rainforest surrounds. The service was excellent too, Mark was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return when we next manage to wrangle a couple of nights stay for the kids with their grandparents!
Ben (Booyong, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)

Thanks again for another wonderful stay at Crystal Creek. Everything was perfect and could not have been better. You have such a fabulous product and a seamless operation – you should be very proud! We checked out Springbrook Lodge as suggested – WOW! What an amazing cabin – love the design!! We will certainly see you much sooner than 7 years like last time ... thanks too for the Moet – what a lovely surprise. I think I'm still wife of the year after my surprise birthday weekend for Andrew.

Just want to say a big thank you for the greatest 5 days we have all had!!! You were all so helpful especially with all the email etc. prior!!!
Everything was perfect! The renovated rooms, the food, the activities, the staff & their helpful ways & the absolutely perfect weather!!! Just everything we wanted it to be & more!!!
It was even better for us to be sharing this occasion with my wonderful parents. An experience & time which meant so much. As much as we were both there we still had the privacy we wanted & the family time we wanted. Just an amazing time which we will never forget. My parents said it was the best time they had had since their actual wedding day!!! We will be back & will continue to tell everyone about CCRR!
Thank you all so very much!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for our stay at the retreat! We had the most amazing time & couldn't have thought of a better way to spend our anniversary! There is no doubt we will be back again – we're already looking at when we can come back for our next stay! We loved the fact that we were clueless that there were even any other guests around apart from the fact that there were other cars! We've been raving about it ever since we got back! Thanks again & we look forward to heading back shortly.

Our stay here was beyond all our hopes and expectations for our weekend away. The Lodge was amazing and absolutely everything was thought of. The heated pool was a wonderful addition to a beautiful lodge and we were able to use it lots despite the cool weather! We will definitely be recommending CCRR to everyone we know and will definitely be coming back.
Troy and Rebecca (Cedar Lodge, the Luxury Rainforest Lodge)
Hi everyone at Crystal Creek!
I just wanted to send an email to express our thanks to you for making our honeymoon unforgettable. We had such a perfect time staying in Cedar Lodge and it was extremely difficult to leave. Coming back home and going back to work was very difficult - and we blame you. All because you have created such a perfect getaway haha!
All the staff were more than welcoming and they were very friendly. The food was so yummy and we loved the fact we got to cook the hampers on our own BBQ at a time that was convenient for us. It meant lots of lazy morning breakfasts and nice relaxing dinners. The picnic hamper we had was great also – we really enjoyed sitting in the orchard soaking in the late afternoon sun before it disappeared behind the mountains.
We aren't very good at creating romantic moments ourselves, but it seemed that everything we did at Crystal Creek was romantic because of the effort that you have put into making everything so lovely. The scenery, the lodge, the peace and quiet all contributed to the most romantic time we have ever spent together.
We will definitely return and are already thinking we should come back for our 1st anniversary. But how can we wait one whole year!?
Hoping to see you again in the near future.
Brett and Tamara
Thank you for making our Honeymoon unforgettable. We were looking forward to arriving at Crystal Creek and now we don’t want to leave. We completely relaxed and feel very rejuvenated… ready to take on married life. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed being able to prepare the meals using the BBQ. You have such a beautiful part of the world and thank you for sharing it with us. We will return.

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend (1st-3rd June 2012). Martin and I were truly amazed and charmed by the accommodation, surroundings and the special touches offered in our bungalow (Kamala). It was a perfect setting to unwind, relax and rejuvenate. Loved the rainforest walk! With thanks,

Luke and Fortuncita (Springbrook Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
What an amazing slice of heaven you have there. Everything was simply perfect from the dappled sunlight through the tree canopy to the efficient yet unobtrusive service that is provided by the hosts. The scenery is superb and the gentle noise of the creek truly relaxing. The food was ample and delicious. Cedar Creek Lodge was luxuriously appointed and very private- just perfect. We will come back.

Loved the natural beauty and the rainforest walks. Professionally run with the bungalow well maintained and excellent signage on the walking tracks. Leaves other similar places we have stayed at for dead.
John (Pandorea, a Glass Terrace Bungalow)
It took about 1/2 hr to unwind and relax, that says a lot about the people and the place….AH… the serenity!
(Quandong, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
Amazing experience 10/10. We staying in the beautiful Kamala bungalow which had stunning views. The staff were beyond helpful, the food was incredible and the location was stunning. Such a romantic honeymoon – we felt like we were the only ones there. Absolutely fantastic!!

Best place we have ever stayed. Exceeded our expectations both the accommodation and location. Attention to detail is what really sets it apart.
After not having much luck over the last couple of years, I organised for my partner & I to go away from Sydney & elope to a small piece of paradise & boy did we find it! We stayed in the new Mountain view Numinbah Lodge & we were in absolute bliss. Everything was beautifully presented & so very tranquil. Have you ever heard rainforest music playing? We got to experience the sweet & relaxing tunes of the rainforest & it was so soothing. Crystal Creek was above & beyond our expectations& I would highly recommend everyone & anyone to go & stay here! Swim in the waterfalls & take a stroll at night, I won't give any secrets away because you need to experience first hand, you won't be disappointed.
Chantele (Numinbah Lodge, a Luxury Mountain View Lodge)
Thank you for making our stay so memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. Warm and friendly staff. The little touches were great. Our Honeymoon was a great way to start married life (relaxed, treated well and above all time to be with each other) Keep up what you are doing!!!

It is a perfectly set up Retreat, from the quality of the rooms to the quality of the service. We got engaged here and the assistance given to us to set it up was outstanding! We will definitely be making a return visit.

Daniella and Matt (Kamala, a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow)
If you want THE most romantic, relaxing (or not) retreat for two, you can't (you shouldn't) go past Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat.
We stayed in the Mountainview Lodge, built in June 2011. The whole front of the building (and it's the size of a not-so-small house) is floor-to-ceiling glass and looks out on to the rainforest and the escarpment.
Plunge into your own plunge pool, clothes optional because no other lodge can see you or have a (shallow) swim in Crystal Creek itself, between swinging on one of the hammocks strung over the water. Or take an easier short or more strenuous longer hike.
With our package, all the meals (except one, which we ordered separately) are delivered 90% prepared to the lodge, and you finish them off when you like – on the barbecue outside or in the modern kitchen. Then you can eat when and where you like: out on the deck, or inside by the light of 24 candles after having taken a bath together, sipping wine, in the over-size freestanding tub by that same candlelight... and perhaps with a fire in the stove, even in the summer.
Watch a video on the flat screen tv, and so to bed under all the "LOVE" paintings on the wall, with all the candles still flickering.
Amazing service: for example, we'd forgotten to bring moisturiser so a staffer picked up a jar of organic MooGoo for us in nearby Murwillumbah.
We've travelled widely, often staying at high-end hotels and resorts around the world. Truly, it doesn't get any better than this.
A lot of places we've stayed at do not live up to the expectations and pictures often look nicer than the place really is. Crystal Creek was the opposite, even more beautiful than we imagined! Hopefully we will return later in the year to get married!
Prue and Richard (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
You should all be very proud of your establishment, me and my new wife have had an amazing stay, I'M finding it hard to drag myself back to reality! Thank you again. Compliments to the chef. You picked an amazing spot, the walks are beautiful and refreshing and the cabin/bungalow is perfect. We will remember this for a long time to come. Sincerely!
Skye and Benjamin (Tamarind, a Creekside Spa Cabin)
It is only with the greatest sense of civic duty that I review this place, and honestly I have no interest in making it even harder to get a booking.
My partner and I have stayed in around a dozen rainforest properties in the last decade, and this is simply our favourite. This was our second stay, this time in Cedar Lodge. It has all the ingredients for paradise: gorgeous foliage, viewable through sheer glass surrounds; beautifully designed living area – I love the integration of space, with separate spaces but no doorways creating a sense of unity and space (and airflow in the humidity!); various lounging places inside and out; and service for what you need. It's a walkers haven – not only does the property provide several good walks; but you are surrounded by national parks with a variety of vegetation and tracks. The supplied meals are large enough to go for a couple of days on, and use local organic produce – hard to source otherwise in a short trip.
Only real downside is the chlorination in the pool, which is a shock after natural swimming in the creek!
Oh, and the bed is one of the best I've slept on.
