We have eight individual and private 'bungalows' at this luxury retreat in the hinterland near Murwillumbah, on the far north coast of NSW, Australia. All set in a spectacular lush rainforest environment, the bungalows have been strategically placed; ensuring total privacy for each and providing natural exposure to the rainforest. With five different architect designs, all sleep one couple only. Choose between the Luxury Rainforest Lodge, Glass Terrace Bungalow, Rainforest Canopy bungalow, Deluxe Creekside Spa Cabin and Creekside Spa cabin.
All bungalows have full kitchens, A/C, quality latex king size beds, large sunken oval double spa baths, quality flat screen TV, DVD/CD and high quality sound system with universal I POD docking stations. There are also speakers in every room including the bathrooms. We provide all bed linen, towels, robes and slippers. Some bungalows have fireplaces.

Our new Luxury Rainforest Lodge, Cedar Lodge, has mountain and rainforest views. This lodge is over three hundred metres from the nearest bungalow. The Lodges at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat take another step up in both luxury and sustainable tourism. The lodge is are bigger, nearly 200 square metres, with generous deck areas, amazing indoor outdoor marble spa bathrooms and a heated endless plunge pool built into the deck (set to 28°C-30°C it is not a hydro-therapy pool). Romantic & cozy with a double sided fireplace opening to both the living room and bedroom, plus reverse cycle A/C. Combining classic design with modern energy efficient technology. Incorporating 'Heat Pump Technology' and 'Comfort Plus Glass'. Heat pumps are now becoming more common in Australia and are widely used in Europe as the most efficient source of heating. With extensive use of insulation and passive solar design. Comfort Plus glass has far better insulating properties than normal glass keeping the heat in, in winter and the sun out in summer. One of the many relatively invisible additions that will make your stay extremely comfortable, whilst being gentle on the environment.

Glass Terrace Bungalow, contemporary open plan cabin with a sliding glass wall.
A contemporary romantic, spacious open plan cabin almost totally surrounded by glass, allowing uninterrupted views of the stunning rainforest. These fully self contained bungalows have a galley style kitchen and walk-in shower both with floor to ceiling windows and rainforest vista. Top of the range flat screen TV/DVD/CD in the living room and the bedroom, complimented with a surround sound system, piped throughout the bungalow. Six sliding doors open to a large covered deck allowing the inside and outside of the bungalow to become one, with expansive old growth rainforest and romantic mountain views; where you can prepare your favourite barbeque meal, then relax back and enjoy the forest's serenity. One of the Glass Terrace Bungalows has an internet connection.

Rainforest Canopy Bungalow, a luxury private rainforest cabin with double spa and fireplace.
An intimate split level design bungalow with a high oak lined, curved ceiling sweeping over the whole building; which has expansive windows. Up stairs on the mezzanine level of this luxury rainforest cabin is the bedroom and double spa room. Then you drop down into the living/dining room, which has a fireplace and leads onto a large covered deck equipped with BBQ, table setting and good quality day beds, where you can enjoy a book or simply lay back, relax and absorb the surrounding beauty of the rainforest. Plus there is a full kitchen with an oven.
As with all our bungalows the bathroom has a walk-in shower and large sunken spa bath with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pristine rainforest. There are two Rainforest Canopy Bungalows.

Deluxe Creekside Spa Cabin, a contemporary rainforest cabin with a fireplace in the bedroom.
The Deluxe Creekside Spa Cabin is set amongst the trees, close to the creek. It has exposed timber beams with a cosy and romantic feel. By the 1st weekend in July there will be a fireplace in the bedroom. The new en suite, has a large double spa bath set into marble; with floor to ceiling windows and views to old growth rainforest trees. A modern fully equipped kitchen overlooking a dining area and opening onto the private covered deck. Plus a exposed sunny deck area. A large modern lounge area, with a top quality flat screen TV/DVD/CD surround sound system and speakers in every room. This cabin creates a romantic setting for you and your partner. Listen to the sound of the flowing creek as you wine and dine by candlelight. Surround the indoor spa with candles, turn on the outside spot lights and gaze out the window at the beauty of the rainforest.

The Creekside Spa Cabins are set amongst the trees, close to the creek. These sort after, traditional 'A Frame' cottage style cabins have exposed timber beams and a cosy and romantic feel. A separate bedroom with king sized bed adjoins the en suite, containing a large double spa bath; with floor to ceiling windows and rainforest views. A fully equipped kitchen overlooking a dining area, adjoining a large but intimate lounge, opening onto the private covered deck. Set down in the thick rainforest, these pitched roof design bungalows create a romantic setting for you and your partner. Listen to the sound of the flowing creek as you wine and dine by candlelight on your private deck. Surround the indoor spa with candles and gaze out the window at the beauty of the rainforest. There are two Creekside Spa Cabins.

... a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes preferably hiking boots, binoculars and swimmers in the summer. We have a DVD and CD library for your use but you may wish to bring your own favorites.

Each Cabin, Bungalow or Lodge sleeps one couple only, no additional guests, children or pets can be accommodated. Every rainforest cabin has a kitchen that is fully equipped with quality appliances including a four burner gas cook top and a convection/microwave oven. All kitchen utensils, tea, coffee, salt and pepper are provided plus covered decks throughout, with top of the range stainless steel BBQs. The Rainforest Canopy Bungalows also have a full sized oven. All bathrooms have floor to ceiling glass windows where only the birds and Echidnas can peer in, a spa bath large enough to share and dissolve the stresses of life or to refresh after a vigorous forest walk. The rainforest Canopy Bungalows and the Luxury Rainforest Lodge also have fireplaces.
Only the Luxury Rainforest Lodge has a phone, however, there is a guest games room with a pay-phone, a modern computer with broad band internet and a WIFI hotspot for guests use. Plus a large DVD library, pool table & table tennis. (Mobile phone reception is unreliable). We do have one Glass Terrace Bungalow with internet access.
